Here's a look at one of the new player races from Between Sun & Shadow, the Ek Ek. This is just the flavor text, no crunch.
Ek Eks are small gregarious bird-like humanoids which stand between 3 and 4 feet tall. They have the torso and arms of a human, and the legs, head, and wings of a bird. Ek Eks are a bit awkward on the ground, but are extremely agile flyers.
As a right of passage, all Ek Eks spend at least one year traveling the Eternal Empire, and cannot return home until they have discovered their purpose in life. To find the answer to such a profound question, Ek Eks are willing to try almost anything at least once – a habit they often continue for the rest of their life.
Generally found living in the windy peaks of Cyran’s Crown, the few Ek Eks that call one of the Seven Jewels home favor the soaring towers of Celeiros.
